Just thought Id pass on the comments from a member re: the lights.

He is a warden at the Pacific Rim National Park, and was called out to search for three missing girls in the Broken Islands group. It was nighttime and aboard his boat and spotted a blue light across the ocean. He flashed his torch and the blue light responded. He located the girls who were signaling with a blue Photon Micro light, stuck on a cliff face. He estimated the distance to be at least 2 miles when he first saw the light.

He and his family and staff all now carry them as emergency back up.

I am a Physician and practice in both a hospital and clinic in New Castle, Indiana. Today (November 20, 2000) I was working late in the clinic. I was with my last patient and it was about 5:45 PM. The dark, overcast winter sky and light snow flurries made for a pretty dark and gloomy evening. The power went out and it was pitch black in the examining room. I immediately realized that I had my photon micro light attached to my key chain. As I reached for the device I calmed my patient and his wife. The intense white light of the photon micro light lit up the room nicely and I directed everyone into the hallway. My nurse had been in her office and was relived that there was light to see by. I completed my dictation and we all left the buildingno fuss. Needless to say this incredible little devise saved the day. A must have on anyones key chain. I am planning on giving a photon micro light to my nurse and receptionist for Christmas. By the way, the light has been very useful for examining pupilary reflexes on rounds.

Thank you for bringing this excellent product to the marketplace.

I recently purchased the Photon II. Aside from general use, as a pilot I thought that it would be a good item to carry, just in case.

The other night I had the unfortunate experience of having to make use of your light unexpectedly.

My partner and I had gone flying. We werent going anywhere in particular, just out for a ride. As it was, although unintentional, we found ourselves flying back to the airport after dark. About ten minutes from the field we had an unexpected and total electrical failure. Using your light to illuminate the panel, we were better able to handle the situation and make a safe approach and landing.

I will be recommending your light to all of my friends. Thanks for the great product.

p.s. A tiny clip added to the light would be of additional benefit. Enabling the user to clip it to a hat brim or to a headset band. Thanks again.

This summer my family and I traveled to a mountain village in Guatemala on a work project. One of the long-term projects there is a health clinic.

While familiarizing ourselves with the clinic, we were told that an infant was in the emergency room. A nurse in our group rushed there to see if she could assist. I accompanied her as the photographer. What she found when she arrived was a severely dehydrated baby who had spent the past two days on her mothers back traveling to the clinic. Her blood pressure was so low that, between two nurses and dozens of attempts, they could not locate a vein to start an I.V. the babys stomach was extended, her eyes were unresponsive, and things were becoming desperate.

One of the nurses asked if anyone had a flashlight. Of course, I always carry a Photon light, so I passed it to her. She used it to shine through the infants hand, hoping the veins would be visible dark against the pink skin.

Using this method, they found a vein and were able to save the infants life.

Thanks for making this reliable light small enough to go anywhere.

No offence, but I was really hoping never to have a testimonial for you.

About two months ago, while lost on a moonless night, I ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere. I had to walk for a few miles through fields of knee-high grass, guided only by my red Photon I. It got me to a gas station and back, and I was no worse for the wear, although I surely would have broken an ankle tromping through those weeds without my little light.

Its nice to know that it will virtually never run out of juice, unlike my car. Since then, I purchased a white Photon II and it has quickly become the most useful light Ive ever owned. Its made backpacking a much lighter experience. Its even accompanied me traipsing around the streets of Europe for a month.

Just wanted to say thanks.

Tom

I frequently walk at night along a unlit residential streets that have no sidewalks. I leave my Photon 3 in the one minute on setting so the LED flashes for three seconds before coming on steadily. When I see an oncoming car, I press the switch and the three seconds of flashing gets the attention of the driver. A wide right of way is almost guaranteed.

Comments: Awesome product. I have an orange one I clip on my dogs collar when we go out at night. Ive gotten tons of comments from people on what a great idea it is. Shes a Skipperke, and completely black. At night, shes easy to miss. Im ordering the green and blue to have Christmas colors on her. She never minds wearing the light, in fact, she goes crazy when I put it on her, because she knows shes going for a walk.

Thanks again.

I just got my ravin lights today and people at the clubs is already asking me where did I get them and can I get a light show these lights are a hit. Before with my photon two I could make lights go around me and through me but now I am stream of glowing candy color wigs everyone out.

Dream

Last mid winter up here in the high country of Colorado we had a situation that changed our lives at Timber Ridge Adventures.

Our general manager (snowmobile tours) went on a solo run in search of fresh powder. Thinking hed be gone for an hour or so he broke rule #1: Never leave without a radio. Being the powder hound, he was above tree line at 11,500 - 12,000 ft. and floating down through a ravine and misjudged a creek bed. He slammed into the other side at an unknown speed and immediately snapped his back. Laying there conscious and breathing but unable to movewaiting to die as he could see tours and even once our sno-cat go by, too far away to hear his cries for help.

We realized something was wrong when the sun went down and no return of John. All available guides took off in a worried search. Our most esteemed guide, Ted, was on the summit of North Sheep Mountain 12,500 ASL when he sees a blinking light that lit up like a lighthouse. We find John with advanced hypothermia set in, broken back and bruised; we got him down.

Spinal cord not severed, he spends the next few months in a cast and in the office till spring. Had he not had your light he surely would have perished. His thoughts as he lay there dying before we spotted him was I laid there, had words with my Maker and asked Him how to be a better father for my kids.

You and your company truly saved his life. Many of us guides now dont leave base without the Photon!

Thank you again for a fine product-

Phil McFall

Saturday last I shopped at a Brookstone store. I saw your Photon Micro-Light being offered and I liked its size. I purchased one as I have severe vision problems and need a light to read menus and checks at restaurants. I added a small snap hook (purchased at a local boat supplies store) to quickly get it off and on my key ring. I was delighted.

That night my wife and I took my small trawler over to our club for dinner. We arrived back at a darkened marina after 10:00 PM. My guests left and my wife and I were securing the boat and canvas covers and lights. It was about to rain and I was wearing a coat & tie and didnt want to get wet. I noticed a light in the pilot house and rushed down the darken pier to extinguish it. I misjudged the end of the pier and walked right off the end of the dock into ten feet of salt water. I surfaced, after awhile, and called for my wife as I tried to hang onto the rub rail of the boat. I was under the lee of the hull and not really visible. I reached for my new light, which had worked so well at the club, and pressed the button. It flickered and although soaked, worked! She saw the light and raced to the rail with a little ring and a rope. Obviously all turned out well, a bit soggy, but well.

I cleaned out the light, the batteries were very corroded. The light was very much dimmer, but worked still. Thanks for a good product!

Sincerely yours,

Jack Olsen
