This light NEVER leaves my side! |

This light is terrific for up-close work without any hot spots or rings. I love the ability to bring up the red LED at night so I don't disturb people, and the fact that I can run it so inexpensively on NiMHs. I keep it clipped to the top inside of my pocket and it has never once "accidentally" turned on. I wish it were around the $40 range so it would be more accessible to the masses. This is the light I pray I have with me on a deserted island (assuming the natives sell "AA"s). ~Dane
P.S. LRI's service has always been OUTSTANDING!

I never thought I'd carry a flashlight on my belt (what a geek I'd be!) but this light is so bright I find a use for it almost every day. It's expensive, yes...BUT it is extremely well made, incredibly bright, very compact and worth the money! I'm going to start replacing my huge mag-lites with these little guys.

I bought this light a year ago and am very impressed. It is almost as bright is a 2-cell Surefire G2 but half the size and same run time. I carry it on momentary (to protect against battery drainage) in the included belt pouch nearly every day. I do wish it had an end cap switch, though. The only problem is I've had with it is I've had to return it for warranty repair before. Customer service is the best I've seen though. Great job!

Proton I hope it gets better and cheaper. |

Well of all of my lights This is one of my least used. Too bad really but with the wait and the technology turnaround speed this poor little light got left in the dust. The Proton is also just plain too darn expensive for an Asian made flashlight. It may have an American Co's name on it but it is Chineese through and through. There are some nice design touches like the glowing area behind the reflector. Bottom line: This light needs a LOWER Price. It needs a brighter illuminator. The QC needs to be improved (customer service is great too bad they have to work so hard) I look forward to Photons Next effort. My hope is that it is a more useful light in my pallet of lighting tools. Good luck.

The Photon Handheld LED Flashlight is light-weight but provides a lot of light. I have yet to replace the battery since it was developed and purchased.
